A planned vacation ends miserably for Trisha Sen.

WASHINGTON, DC: An alleged intoxicated encounter with the staff on a JetBlue flight landed Los Angeles resident Trisha Sen in jail for Christmas.
Sen was en route from her home city to Bogoto, Colombia to visit family. During a red eye flight from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Sen had several alcoholic beverages, according to reports. After a point, when she requested one more, the flight attendant refused, saying that Sen had already had too many. It is at this point, say several witnesses, that she became unruly.
According to eyewitnesses, including one who uploaded a video of part of the incident on social media site Instagram, the 39 year-old Sen began pacing the aisles of the plane back and forth. When flight attendants found themselves unable to placate her, the pilot himself got involved.
It was at this point that Sen scratched the pilot twice, leading to her being subdued, says reports. Upon arrival in Fort Lauderdale, Sen was taken into custody by local law enforcement and charged with battery. She spent most of Christmas Eve and all of Christmas day behind bars.
Sen was in court on Christmas day, and attempted to plead her case in front of the judge right then and there. The judge told her emphatically that she would have to wait until her trial date before arguing her case, and allowed her to be released on $1,000 bond.
In an interview with local CBS affiliate CBS-4 Miami, Sen confirmed that she denied a drink after having had some already, but was not upset by that decision, saying that it was within the flight attendant’s rights to deny her alcohol. What really set Sen off, however, was that she was trying to get back to her seat at the time the rest of the flight crew began trying to subdue her.
During the interview, Sen displayed several bruises on her right and left arms, which she says came from being roughed up by the flight crew and other personnel on the flight, including the pilot she scratched.
Sen flew back to Los Angeles after the incident occurred, and is awaiting trial for the battery charges in Fort Lauderdale. The full video of the CBS-4 report can be viewed below:
