MUMBAI: One of the most beautiful and fairy tale romances in Bollywood came to a shattering end last year in December when Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and wife Sussanne Khan Roshan decided to part ways. The couple had filed for divorce by mutual consent in April. The final hearing date in the case has been scheduled for October 31.
According to latest reports, Sussanne has apparently demanded a whopping Rs. 400 crore as alimony amount.
Hrithik and Suzanne’s separation news came just few days before their 13th marriage anniversary. Hrithik issued an official statement to confirm the news.
“Sussanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17-year relationship. This is a very trying time for the entire family and I request the media and the people to grant us our privacy at this time,” the official statement read.
The couple who were involved for a total of 17 years have two sons together-Hrehaan and Hridhaan. Sussanne Khan, who herself is an established professional and businesswoman, has the custody of their two sons and has moved to a new address. Suzanne said that she and Hrithik are parents of two wonderful children and their priorities as parents would remain the same.
Sussanne and Hrithik’s separation is one of the most shocking divorces in Bollywood. Childhood sweethearts, they tied the knot after four years of dating in 2000. The duo’s separation is rumoured to be due to several different reasons. Differences between the couple began with the news of Hrithik’s alleged affair with his ‘Kites’ co-star Barbara Mori.
Hrithik reportedly made several attempts to reconcile but Sussanne was adamant she wanted to move on. The couple were last seen together at Lonavala, celebrating their son’s birthday.
The alimony amount, if it comes about, serves as one of the highest in Bollywood divorces.
In other high profile cases, actress Karisma Kapoor is demanding seven crores from her ex-husband Sunjay Kapoor; Rhea Pillai, it was reported, received as much as eight crores and a car from former husband Sanjay Dutt. Aamir Khan and his former wife Reena Dutta filed a divorce petition with mutual consent, in family court in Mumbai in December 2002 after which she took the custody of their two children.

This is too horrible and makes me so happy that I’m single :)
Its one thing to demand 7 or 8 crore (though unfair to the guy), but demanding Rs 400 crore from Hrithik, is Suzanne totally money crazed bi*ch.
