Watch them get doused.

NEW YORK: Indian American governors Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Nikki Haley of South Carolina have participated in the latest Internet craze: the Ice Bucket Challenge.
The challenge, which involves getting doused, or dousing oneself with a bucket filled with ice cold water and ice, is to benefit the ALS Association, a charity dedicated to fighting the motor-neuron condition, also called Lou Gehrig’s disease. If you get challenged by somebody you know, then you have 24 hours to take it up and post it up on social media as proof, or else, have to contribute $100 to the ALS Association.
Within two weeks, till August 12, the challenge has reportedly raised a whopping $4 million for the cause. With celebrities like Jimmy Fallon and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg playing along, it’s become a viral social media phenomenon.
And Jindal and Haley were not found wanting, either.
The State reported that Haley’s children, Rena and Nalin Haley dumped pitchers of ice water on their mother outside of the Governor’s Mansion as part of the ALS Association’s Ice Bucket Challenge.
In a video posted on her YouTube page, Haley challenged three South Carolina celebrities to take the challenge — comedian Stephen Colbert of Charleston, musician Edwin McCain of Greenville and Clemson University football head coach Dabo Swinney.
After her kids drenched her, Haley laughs, looks at the camera and pronounces, “You can cut it off now.”
Jindal, reported The Times-Picayune, accepted the challenge – offered by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees – which resulted in Jindal’s wife, Supriya, dumping a bucket of ice water on the governor’s head.
Jindal recorded the moment on YouTube. He said in the video he would donate to the ALS foundation on behalf of Team Gleason, an organization founded by former Saint Steve Gleason to assist people living with ALS.
Jindal extended challenges to LSU football coach Les Miles and “Duck Dynasty” star Willie Robertson.
