NEW DELHI: The comedian Kapil Sharma said in a show that a great human or a comedian is the one who laughs at his own self.
With Alia Bhatt laughing at her own alleged ‘dumbheadness’, she joins an illustrious list of actors who have managed to get fans behind them for having a good laugh at jokes aimed at them, and adding their own version to it.
Alia had become a subject of ridicule on Facebook after an episode on Koffee With Karan, where she claimed King Prithvi Raj Chauhan to be the President of India. She is now going to feature in a video titled ‘Alia Bhatt: Genius of the Year’ for AIB (All India Backchod), a spoof on herself where she will respond to all the memes and jokes on her that went viral on the social media.
Some other examples of celebrities who love making fun of themselves:
Abhishek Bachchan – Jr. Bachchan takes his compliments and criticism very graciously. He has a cool, laid back attitude and a quick sense of humor. He once posted on a micro blogging site, “I make her look good!! Then again… anybody compared to me will look good”, citing his experience at the Cannes film festival, tagging along with his gorgeous, stunning wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Shah Rukh Khan – We all know King Khan’s sense of humor and his positive attitude. Once, a morphed poster of Shah Rukh (as a roadside hawker) selling Ra.One merchandise went viral on the web, around the release of the film. He shared it on his own microblogging page commenting, “Ok, will have to work out a lot more on the waist…. The kamar looks a bit kamra like. But very nice, thanx,” he joked about a fan’s sketch of him.
Alok Nath – The ‘Sanskari’ father of television went on playing a parody version of himself in a rap video after one of his parodies went viral. His version of the song had lyrics like,”You party all night? I do aarti all night.”
