MUMBAI: The talented actor Zakir Hussain will be seen in the role of a psychologically obsessed lover, in the film ‘Game Paisa Ladki’, directed by Sachin Agarwal.
Husain, a graduate of the National School of Drama, has always given audiences riveting, intense performances, and adds value to films that he features in. His commendable works include the role of Rashid in Ramgopal Varma’s film Sarkar, and the excellent role of Shardul in Sriram Raghavan’s film Johnny Gaddaar. He was critically acclaimed for both roles. Hussain received the ‘New Menace’ award at the 2006 Stardust Film Awards, for his role in the latter film.
Hussain, who started his career in television serials, including Firdaus, Kitty Party and Gaatha, made his debut in Bollywood with Sriram Raghavan’s 2004 film Ek Hasina Thi.
“Zakir will be seen in a never before intense, dark and grey character in this movie, something which he hasn’t attempted before. He is essaying the role of psycho lover who goes a bit out of control. He will surely leave the audience asking for more,” said Sachin Agarwal in statement, on the upcoming ‘Game Paisa Ladki’.
“A surprise package in the film will be a song where the hero and the villain will together romance the heroine. And of course, Zakir will be one of them,” added Agarwal.
‘Game Paisa Ladki’ features also Sezal Sharma, Ranjeet, Sitaram Panchal, in leading roles.
The film is to be produced by Atul Patel and Sajan Agarwal under the banner Modern Movie Pvt. Ltd. It’s slated to hit the screens in April 2015.
