Salman Khan starrer creates new record in India.

BENGALURU: Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan has created ripples not only in India but also in Pakistan, earning Rs. 38 crores in the opening week at the Pakistan Box Office, casting a shadow over Pakistani releases.
Salman Khan’s Ed gift has become a talking point across the border and his fans in Karachi and Islamabad are thronging into theatres to see him in the new avatar. The hype created byBajrangi Bhaijaan has left Pakistani films Bin Roye and Wrong Number trailing behind their expected earnings.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan, directed by Kabir Khan hit the theatres worldwide on July 17 after speculations about the movie not getting completed due to the conviction of Salman Khan in the hit and run case.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a movie with half of its story in Pakistan and the rest in India. It focuses on the relationship of a mute Pakistani girl and an Indian man who rescues her in India and vows to return her back t her parents in Pakistan.
Coming to the collection of Pakistani movies Mahira Khan Starrer Bin Roye has earned 17.78 crores whereas Wrong Number collected Rs. 17.14 crores in theatres in Karachi and Islamabad.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan has not only crushed the prospects of Pakistani movies but also some of the recently released Hollywood movies, with Minions, Terminator: Genesis and Ant-Manalso feeling the heat.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan has Kareena Kapoor playing opposite to Khan, with Nawazuddin Siddiqui appearing in a prominent role. As of now, the movie has collected Rs 15.87 crores in Karachi’s Capri Cinema.
Before the release of the movie in Pakistan, it faced threat of embargo but, fortunately, the movie is attracting huge audience after clearing all the hurdles and Salman fans are queuing up to watch him in his new avatar.
The film is breaking records at the Indian Box office with opening week collections reaching 184 crores, leaping ahead of Aamir Khan’s PK and Shahrukh khan’s Happy New Year which earned Rs 183 crores and Rs. 157 crores respectively, during the first week of release.
