The launch of Skype 6.4 for Android has brought the communications app to Android Wear.
While users won’t be able to video chat, they’ll be able to manage their Skype conversations right from their wrists using Moto 360, Huawei Watch, LG Watch Urbane, and Asus ZenWatch, according to PC Magazine.
Per TechCrunch:
Similar to its previously released Apple Watch counterpart, the new Skype for Android Wear app lets you respond to incoming messages from your wrist, either by speaking into the device and having your message transcribed from voice to text, or by choosing from a selection of pre-written responses. You can also draw on the watch’s screen with a finger to send an emoji, as well as accept or decline incoming calls with a tap.
Earlier this month, Skype, which is owned by Microsoft, revamped its Android and iOS apps, rolling out Skype 6.0 with simpler navigation and enhanced search and messaging
Mojis — or short clips from movies and TV shows — are also new on all Skype platforms, reported The Verge Simply tap the emoticon icon to browse Mojis by movie or expression, ten drop one into a chat box and let the clip speak for itself.
If you have an Android Wear watch then the latest update is available now in theGoogle Play Store.
