The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has released two pictures of international border between India and Pakistan that were taken from outer space.
NASA has said in their website that an astronaut aboard the International Space Station (ISS) took the following night-time panorama while looking north across Indus River valley.
This photograph shows the border between Pakistan and India which is fenced and lit by security lights that have a distinct orange tone.
Another night image below shows the border zone looking southeast from the Himalaya.
This image was taken with a 16 mm lens, which provides the wide field of view, as the International Space Station (ISS) was tracking towards the southeast across India. The ISS crew took the image as part of a continuous series of frames, each with a one-second exposure time to maximize light collection, said NASA.
Apart from the brightly appearing border line, clusters of yellow lights on the Indo-Gangetic Plain reveal many cities the capital cities of Islamabad, Pakistan, and New Delhi, India.
