He could be the macho Dabangg cop on screen, but ultimately, Salman Khan, with all the body guards surrounding him is as susceptible as any other man when targeted by sneak thieves.
The Mumbai Mirror reported that the bachelor superstar of Bollywood was robbed by four girls in a Bandra nightclub. The girls left the premises with Salman’s wallet, sunglasses and a much cherished original Bajrangi Bhaijaan pendant.
According to the report, Salman left his belongings on a nearby table when the girls walked towards him to start off a conversation. While the other girls kept Salman occupied, one of them was busy collecting the belongings.
Salman, who returned from the conversation, was stumped to see his accessories lost and was in a shock to have experienced the darker side of Mumbai. Even though his security chief advised to file a police complaint, the on-screen-super-cop decided not to do and instead ordered the chief of security to tighten the security.
However, Arpita Khan Sharma, sister of Salman Khan, brushed aside the news that her brother was robbed and instead said “It’s not easy to rob Salman. He has not visited a night club in recent times nor does he carry a wallet.”
But producer Nandita Singaa was quoted by the Mumbai Mirror saying, “Yes Salman was robbed and had to increase his security from two to 14 men.”
If that is true, getting too close to Salman would be difficult in the future.
The question is, why would Salman Khan leave his wallet lying around at a table, and that too in a nightclub?
