Fathimath Rohila scored 93% marks.

A 13-year-old Muslim schoolgirl from Karnataka state has scored the highest marks in the Ramayana competition conducted by Bharatha Sanskriti Prathisthan.
Fathimath Rohila, 13, from Puttur district of the state, scored 93% marks in the examination conducted last November and became the top scorer of the district.
The class 9th student of Sarvodaya High School, Sulliapadavu, Puttur, is pursuing a course in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata and she is now preparing for the upcoming exam on Mahabharata. She developed an interest in Indian epics during her last school year.
“I prepared from the beginning of the academic year with my uncle’s help. And now, I want to appear for the Mahabharata exam as well,” Rohila told The Times of India.
Her father Ibrahim M. is a factory employee and her mother is a homemaker. They wanted her to become the state top scorer. Her uncle has also supported her in pursuing studies.
“She put in a lot of effort every day to top in Karnataka, but could not achieve it,” One India quoted Ibrahim as saying.
Around 40 students from the same school have attended the examination.
