Bus conductor and helper arrested.

A 30-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped in a bus in Shishgarh town in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh by a private bus conductor and helper on Monday night. Her 15-day-old baby died, with the victim saying the rapists threw the baby on the ground during the scuffle.
The accused, Ishwari Prasad and Shiv Kumar, were arrested and a case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections IPC Sections 376-D (gang rape) and 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) was registered against them.
The woman was returning home in Rampur after visiting her sister. He two children were also with her. She boarded the bus around 9 pm in the night. The incident happened after all other passengers got off. But she didn’t realize it as she slept off during the journey.
“Her child had been sick for some time and she went to visit her sister to meet a tantric. She was returning to Rampur when she met the two accused at the bus station. She was allegedly raped inside the bus at the bus station. Later, she found her child dead,” said Bareilly Additional SP (Rural) Yamuna Prasad.
After raping the woman, the duo dumped her on the road and escaped. The woman filed a complaint with the police on Tuesday morning.
The victim has been admitted to a hospital in a serious condition. The body of her child has been sent for autopsy. The police said that they are yet to receive the autopsy report.
