In a shocking incident, two beef transporters were forced to eat cow dung concoction in Faridabad in the state of Haryana. A video of the two men being forced to eat cow dung concoction has surfaced recently.
In the video, two men are seen trying to eat cow dung with the help of a bottle of water. Though no others are seen in the video, voices of people standing near to them can be heard. A hand of a man who hands over a bottle of water to the victims can also be seen.
It is clear from the video that the two men were beaten up before the 57-second video was shot as there are injuries on the faces of both. The two men are struggling to say “Gau Mata Ki Jai” and “Jai Shri Ram” with the gang of men prompting them. The gang is also urging them to “hurry up” and “finish the gobar quickly.”
A report in The Indian Express says that the incident was in retaliation to recent incidents where three gau rakshaks (cow protectors) were injured in gunshots. The report claims that the volunteers of the Gau Rakshak Dal intercepted a beef transporting vehicle in which 700 kilograms of beef was being transported from Mewat to Delhi.
They caught two men who were transporting the beef and forced them to eat “panchgavya”, a concoction of cow dung, cow urine, milk, curd, and ghee. Dharmendra Yadav, president of the Gurgaon Gau Rakshak Dal, admitted that this was what happened on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway. But he added that he didn’t know who shot the video.
“We had to chase the car for 7 km. before we finally managed to stop them near the Badarpur border,” Yadav told The Indian Express.
“When we caught them, they had 700 kg. of beef in their car. We made them eat the panchgavya to teach them a lesson, and also to purify them,” he added.
The incident happened on June 10 and the gang handed over the men to Faridabad police. They have been identified as Rizwan and Mukhtiar. The police arrested them as cow slaughter is banned in the state.
“We arrested a driver and a helper, both of who are now in judicial custody. The meat in their car was confirmed to be beef,” Anil Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Sarai Khwaja police station, told the daily.
“Police have no information about any video of persons being forced to eat cow dung. We do not know where this happened, who are involved. This did not happen in police presence… If this video is genuine, this calls for a case,” Faridabad police PRO-Sube Singh said.
On Tuesday, Haryana Education Minister and RSS activist, Ram Bilas Sharma, defended the cow protection activists saying that the violence was the result of “cow lovers been awakened by the new laws”.
“Haryana is a place of cow lovers and Gita. The Hindu society has immense reverence for the cow. Youths are coming forward for cow protection like this. The law has brought a big change in the mindset of people and has swelled the reverence for the sacred animal,” Sharma was quoted as saying by India Today.
So far, no action has been taken against the gang that forced the men to eat cow dung.

Unless and until we mend ourselves intrinsically, no government can stop this nonsense.
