Rajinikanth fans are going crazy as the release date of the much-hyped movie ‘Kabali’ is nearing. While the fans are going all out to make the release a big event, some companies have also joined them by declaring a holiday on the release date.
Employees of many organizations have applied for a leave on the day of ‘Kabali’s’ release. But, many are planning to go on a sick leave to catch the first show on the first day. But, understanding the eagerness of their employees, some companies have decided to give their employees a holiday to enjoy the release of their hero’s film.
According to a report in The Times of India, some companies in Chennai and Bengaluru have declared a holiday on July 22, on the day ‘Kabali’ hits theaters. Bangalore-based Opus Waterproofing and Chennai-based Fyndus India Pvt Ltd have informed their workers that the company won’t be functioning on July 22.
“This was an internal company circulation which was sent out on Sunday. I could feel the eagerness in my employees, so instead of dealing with mass bunks and mobile switch offs, I came up with the idea of declaring a holiday on July 22 and be a part of the celebration. It would also serve as a motivation to my employees. Like Diwali bonus, we treated them to Kabali bonus,” Manoj Pushparaj of Waterproofing told Hindustan Times.
The startup has also arranged tickets for its employees in partnership with PVR cinemas to curb piracy.
“On account of the release of superstar Rajini’s movie ‘Kabali,’ we have decided to declare a holiday on 22, July 2016, in efforts to avoid piled up leave requests to the HR department,” read the circular issued by Fyndus.
