A Dallas man’s video of himself flying out of a curve in a water slide and falling to the rocks below at a private home near Lake Travis in the Austin area has gone viral.
David Salmon, who posted the video on Facebook, said he’s currently in an Austin hospital with a broken arm, fractured ribs, and multiple lacerations on his back, arms, and side.
The slow motion video shows that the man clearly enjoying himself but suddenly seen falling off the side and down a steep embankment. Viewers can also see him stretching his arm out to prevent from falling off the thing after negotiating a curve.
“Too dang old to be going down water slides. Fell off this one that is over a rocky cliff,” he wrote in the caption of the video.
He fell 10 to 15 feet onto rocks down below and however find out that he doesn’t need surgery and will soon able to travel back home to Dallas.
According to Fox4News rescue crews had a difficult time reaching Salmon because of the location of the slide.
The video has been viewed over 140,000 times on Facebook.
