Parineeti Chopra, once a victim of body shaming, is slammed by twitterati and called fake for body shaming a friend on Thursday.
It began with a video, in which the 27-year-old actress and her colleague Alia Bhatt wishing a friend on his birthday. Parineeti and Alia, currently touring America with the Dream team concert, posted this video message in which Parineeti’s rather uncharitable advice to the birthday boy- “eat less and become thin” – takes even Alia by surprise.
This comment invited comments from calling it incredibly harsh on the part of someone who used to be chubby herself at one point and the video and tweet has since been taken down by the actor and her Twitter fan clubs.
However, the reactions have not stopped on the issue.
“Now she’s slim, she can say what she wants,” one outraged fan wrote. Another advised her to be little responsible about what she says. Some people criticized for being ‘obsessed with body image’.
Last year, Parineeti Chopra took nine months off to work on her fitness and debuted her hard-won new physique in a series of photos posted on social media. “I am a fat-to-fit story,” she said.
Some months ago, she posted a lengthy instagram not dealing why and how she reinvented the way she looked.
