The commercial features New England Shirt Company owner Robert Kidder.
A new TV ad released Wednesday by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, criticizes rival Donald Trump for outsourcing his clothing brands overseas, including his coats to India.
The commercial, set to air this week is part of a series features Robert Kidder, a Massachusetts shirt manufacturer who employees more than 60 people criticizing Trump for outsourcing jobs to make his products, including shirts, abroad.
“This factory has been here since 1883. We have over 60 people here making shirts labelled ‘Made in America,’ but Donald Trump’s brand of shirts come from China, suits from Mexico, his coats from India,” the New England Shirt Company owner says.
“Donald Trump says he’ll ‘make America great again’ while he’s taking the shirts right off our backs,” Kidder concludes.
The new ad follows Clinton’s announcement yesterday of new plans to jump-start small business start-ups and strengthen small business growth. She has accused Trump of making a career out of ‘stiffing’ small businesses and driving some of them out of business.
Clinton cited an independent analysis and claimed that Trump’s ideas would cost 3.4 million jobs while her plan would create over 10 million new Jobs.
This isn’t the first time Trump has been hit for making his clothes abroad. His primary opponents attacked him over it in debates and ads.
According to Factcheck.org, one of Trump’s primary opponents, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, raised the outsourcing issue during a Republican Debate in February.
While appearing on ABC’s “This Week” in May, Trump defended the offshore production of his clothing line, the Donald J. Trump Collection, saying: “They don’t make a lot of these products” in America.

Where was that horrible thing she wore to Cher’s party made? Walmart doesn’t even sell anything that bad.
