It features young Shah Rukh as treasurer’s son.
Shah Rukh Khan is one of the few actors who translated their TV frame to supreme success in films.
Shah Rukh did odd commercials and was also part of many short films, but we only know about ‘Fauji and Circus’ and ‘Dil Dariya’.
But now, an unseen 1991 short film of SRK has gone viral on the Internet. Titled ‘Mahan Karz’ (A big debt), the 17 minute video has Shah Rukh playing the role of a treasurer’s son who wants to work in the Maharaja’s castle.
When the Maharaja interviews, SRK’s sweet talking nature wins him over despite Raja being very strict in employing people. He keeps his word, does everything diligently and sincerely. But being a young guy, a vice does get the better of him.
Shah Rukh looks wonderful in the costume that he wore and his acting skills here are also amazing.
As per the description with the video, the short film was directed by Shah Rukh’s theatre friend Dinesh Lakhanpal and SRK’s remuneration for the film was just a sum of Rs 3000.
