WASHINGTON, DC: The Association of American Physicians of Indian origin (AAPI) is launching an initiative to make healthcare in India more affordable for lower income citizens.

An official announcement and schedule for this initiative is expected to be announced at the Global Healthcare Summit (GHS) this coming January in Ahmedabad, at the world-renowned Gujarat Convention Centre.
This will be the eighth iteration of the summit. The GHS, which lasts two days, aims to make the quality and accessibility of healthcare high for Indians and Indian-Americans. Two other organizations, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and the Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (GAPIO) will also be key players at the GHS.
