WASHINGTON, DC: Orion Energy Systems, one of largest power technology companies in the US, has appointed Rishi Jain to be their Territory Manager for the North East region.
The new position puts Jain in charge of overseeing Orion Energy Systems’ power interests in heavily populated regions such as Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Manhattan, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware. Jain is currently based in Baltimore, while Orion’s headquarters are stationed n Manitowoc, Wisconsin, about 45 minutes south of Green Bay.
“As your Orion territory manager, I bring to your business the unparalleled advantage of market knowledge and product knowledge, including LED technology and its attributes,” Jain said in a press release put out by the company.
“Embracing Orion’s mission to be our customers’ #1 value driven energy solutions provider, Rishi is an in-market energy expert who understands all aspects of the business from technical product knowledge to project implementation,” Orion Energy Systems said in the same release, lauding Jain as someone who believes in “delivering better bottom-line energy solutions with integrity and reliability.”
The company was founded in 1996, and went public 11 years later on December 18, 2007. It was awarded the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year commendation three years in a row, from 2006-2008, something that had never before been accomplished.
The company was singled out by President Barack Obama in 2009, who highlighted its “green collar” jobs and innovate solutions to power problems during a speech in March of that year. Obama commended the company again in 2011, when he visited the Orion Energy Systems facilities the day before his State of the Union address that year.
