Only Bollywood celebrity to ever make the cut.

BANGALORE: A Bollywood celebrity appears on the cover of Forbes Middle East for the first time and who else could it be, but the King of Bollywood himself, Shah Rukh Khan. The business magazine focussed on the Arab countries lists the Top Indians in the Arab World.
SRK is the first Indian celebrity to be on that cover page; a feature article about his contribution to the entertainment industry and as an entrepreneur is also included in this edition of the magazine.
Shah Rukh Khan posted on twitter earlier on Sunday, ““Forbes Middle-East made me feel special with their special edition cover story on my work in entertainment. Off to Dubai for the launch. Thank you all.” On the night of the event Khan signed a life size poster of the cover of Forbes Middle East featuring him and wrote, “To all the leaders tonight. Thank you.”
Khan’s Chennai Express earned more than 200 crores in box office worldwide. His films rule the box office as much as he rules the industry. Easily one of the most marketable actors, Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment has grown into quite a successful production house.
About 170 people have made it to the list that celebrates the achievements of India’s crème de la crème in the Middle East business world. The Top Indian Leaders list is compiled after thorough and detailed research into Indian business people residing or operating a business in the region.
The organisers of the event had included a small ceremony to felicitate Shah Rukh, which was followed by a gala dinner and awards ceremony in the Godolphin Ballroom, Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
King Khan took some time off his hectic schedule to invest in going around to his favourite places in the UAE. He tweeted “On a chopper to one of my favourite places in the Emirates…Ras Al Khaimah… been some time since my last visit. Snow in the Desert.”
