NEW DELHI: Aamir Khan, the Mr. Perfectionist, is caught up in yet another controversy after the first look of his much awaited film P.K. He had become the butt of twitter jokes and now it has landed him in legal trouble as well.
The picture of Aamir posing nude with just a tape recorder in hand hiding his private parts has raised the question of morality in certain parts of the country.
A full page advertisement of P.K’s poster in a local newspaper on August 1 agitated a group of lawyers. They burnt posters of the film and filed a complaint against Aamir and the newspaper. The lawyers alleged that such actions encourage obscene activities among youth and claimed that it is an offence under Section 292 IPC.
Meanwhile, protests erupted in Kanpur over the poster. Protestors marched holding placards and shouting slogans that the poster has brought shame to the ‘civilized Indian society’.
Days before, Shah Rukh Khan took a dig at Aamir saying that going nude is not talent. During a press meet, when the event’s host Mini Mathur asked SRK whether he wants to reveal his hidden talent under his belt which has not been seen by the world till now, the actor laughed and cheekily replied, “Now it’s getting vulgar…show the world what you have under the belt….muje aisa laga PK poster ki baat kar rahe hai hum.”
P.K is a much awaited movie of the year. The combination of Rajkumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Aamir Khan is back after giving the blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’.
