Mika’s generosity: a diamond ring to Amitabh Bachchan

Wristwatch to Mithun Chakraborty, locket for Rekha.

MUMBAI: The Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan recently attended the promotional event of singer Mika Singh’s debut film ‘Balwinder Singh Famous Ho Gaya’ in Mumbai.

According to reports, the sheer presence of senior Bachchan moved the star cast of the film so much that Mika actually gifted a diamond ring to Amitabh, as a token of love and reverence.

The singer expressed his gratitude on the micro-blogging site Twitter saying, “A big big thanx to the Baap of Bollywood the one and only @SrBachchan !! Bohat bohat meharbani bhaji!”
When asked at the event about his latest gifting gesture, Mika said, “I am just grateful that Big B took time out from his busy schedule.”

“As the guest of honour at the film’s music launch, Bachchan was asked to speak about Mika. Big B mentioned how he listens to Mika’s songs once in a while and how his family loves the singer’s voice. He also joked that now there was one more competitor in the field of acting,” said a source.

Mika is known to give expensive gifts to fellow celebrities. In March this year, he gifted an expensive wristwatch to Mithun Chakraborty, when he appeared on the sets of a dance reality show. When he met Rekha for the first time at an awards function this year, he gifted her his Sikh Khanda locket.

This film marks the acting debut of Mika and Shaan.

Sunny Leone, who has shaken a leg in one of the songs of the film with Mika, also attended the music launch. No gifts for her though, Mika gave a simple thank you to her for doing a song with him for the film!
