BENGALURU: Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo has launched a mid-range smartphone called Mirror 3 in India for a price of Rs. 16,990.
The device will be the first in the batch of mid-range Oppo smartphones to feature 64-bit processor that has become widely popular in India after the launch of Yu Yureka.
According to Tom Lu, the CEO of Oppo Mobile in India, “The smartphone technology, is constantly evolving. We are excited to introduce Mirror 3 to our picture-loving Indian customers. It comes with phenomenal camera quality. No matter day or night, the image quality taken from a Mirror 3 smartphone is greatly enhanced as a result of increased CMOS sensitivity, higher resolution, and effective filtering for infrared light. This packed with a host of other features gives the consumer a power packed selfie experience.”
Oppo Mirror 3 is a dual SIM smartphone with a 4.7 inch HD touchscreen display. Like all other Oppo devices, sleekness is the main attraction of the Mirror 3, measuring 137.6×68.8×8.95mm and weighing just 128 gm.
The device is powered by the 64 Bit Snapdragon 410 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and Adreno 306 GPU. Oppo boasts Mirror 3 as a perfect gaming smartphone with impeccable smoothness and zero frame loss.
The device comes with an inbuilt storage capacity of 8 GB, expandable up to 128 GB using MicroSD card. The new oppo smartphone features an 8 MP rear camera with Sony IMX179 Backside Illuminated Sensor. The 5 MP front camera of the device features the Beautify Mode 3. The device is powered by a 20000mAh battery that can fully charge the device within 90 minutes, which is 60% faster than the normal charging solutions.
The device runs on Android KitKat 4.4 out-of-the-box and will receive the Lollipop update soon. Even though the device comes with the 64-bit processor, users can enjoy its full potential only when it is updated to Lollipop since it is the only Android OS optimized to support 64-bit apps and architecture.
In addition to the general connectivity features such as Bluetooth, WiFi and USB, the new Mirror 3 will have a Smart Remote Technology 2.0 that can help operate home appliances such as TV and Air conditioners using the infrared protocol.
