WASHINGTON, DC: GQ has released its inaugural list of the most stylish men alive, its own version of the best-dressed list that takes street style into account.
Ryan Gosling landed the cover of the issue, while the rest of the list is rounded out by Pharrell Williams, Brad Pitt, Jay Z, Kanye West, Bradley Cooper, Jeff Goldblum, Jared Leto, LeBron James, A$AP Rocky, One Direction’s Harry Styles, Daniel Craig, Cristiano Ronaldo, Russell Westbrook, Jaden Smith, David Beckham, Mark Ronson, Mario Balotelli, and Eddie Redmayne.
GQ’s editors explained their picks, saying, “We got scientific on this. Hundreds of candidates considered. Thousands of street photos analyzed … This is not about the celebrities who spend the most cash on designer clothes or hire the best stylists. Instead, we were looking for guys who carry themselves through the world with confidence and originality. Men who follow their own spirit guides … Men who can teach us a thing or two about how to get dressed—and whose moves we most want to steal.”
GQ’s 2015 most-stylish list hits newsstands in Los Angeles and New York City on Tuesday and elsewhere across the country on June 30, according to the Los Angeles Times, which also noted that the magazine has compiled an annual list of the best new menswear designers in America for the past nine years.
If you can’t wait to feast your eyes on the 20-strong gaggle of sartorially suave media darlings, GQ has the list posted along with a photo gallery for your viewing pleasure.
