WASHINGTON, DC: SV Lotus Temple of Fairfax, Virginia, is gearing up to host Srinivasa Kalyanam for the third time.
Previously, the event attracted more than 3,000 people to witness Kalyanam. Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams (TTD)’s Archakas and Veda Pandits will be performing the Kalyanam with the Utsava idols brought from TTD.
Apart from Puja material, the world famous Tirupati Laddu Prasadam and Ammavari Kumkuma are also being brought.
Aside from Kalyanam, the Archakas will also be performing Suprabhata Seva, Thomala Seva, and other Sevas. With Veda Mantras, Songs on Lord Venkateswara and Nada Swaram being played, and scores of devotees chanting Govinda Namam, “it is going to be a sacred, devotional and blissful experience for one and all,” according to an official release. Furthermore, sponsors will get the opportunity to participate in Kalyanam as a “Gruhasta.”
The event is open to all who wish to witness the Kalyanam, and arrangements are being made to provide free parking, free breakfast, Maha Prasadam lunch, and a Tirupati Laddu for each devotee.
