Says foreign students who want to stay in the U.S. should not be thrown out of our country.

Shortly after revealing his anti-H-1B plan for immigration, Donald Trump seems to have contradicted himself regarding immigration on the whole, saying that foreign students who study in American universities should be allowed to stay in the United States.
Trump tweeted on Tuesday, “When foreigners attend our great colleges & want to stay in the U.S., they should not be thrown out of our country. I want talented people to come into this country — to work hard and become citizens. Silicon Valley needs engineers, etc.”
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, the front-runner in the race to the White House, previously made it clear that if elected he would “reform” the current H-1B visa policy and hike the minimum wage.
According to the data accessed by ComputerWorld, 86 percent of the total H-1B visa issued for technology firms in the United States is used by Indian IT professionals. If the companies are forced to increase the wage, it might compel them to hire unemployed US citizens, forcing H-1B workers to return home.
“We graduate two times more Americans with STEM degrees each year than find STEM jobs, yet as much as two-thirds of entry-level hiring for IT jobs is accomplished through the H-1B program,” Trump’s position paper said.
According to the Trump’s report, more than a half of the total H-1B visas issued were allotted at the lowest wage and moreover, 80 percent of it is for its bottom two.
The report added “raising the prevailing wage paid to H-1Bs will force companies to give these coveted entry-level jobs to the existing domestic pool of unemployed native and immigrant workers in the US, instead of flying in cheaper workers from overseas.”

Along with students who have studied in America, President Donald Trump also needs to bring back to America, the H1B workers who have worked in America for more than 6 yrs and gone back to India because they did not get greencard on time. They may have purchased house, car with the company promise that they will get greencard and they did not get greencard and had to come back. Working in America for 8+ years at reduced levels is difficult. Hence, pls. bring them back to USA, provide greencard, salaries above USD 100k ( I worked in USA from 98-2008 on H1B, purchased flat, car etc. Did not get greencard on time. Had to come back to India in 2008 due to some personal work. My greencard was approved for I140 stage in 2008 and only the last stage was remaining. I got married in India in 2010 and daughter born in 2011. From 2012, I am trying to get back to USA, could not come due to lack of greencard and also because none of the IT companies in India are interested in sponsoring H1B (because they have will have to pay salary in excess of USD 80k and the amount of money that they need to spend on getting a H1B does not leave sufficient profit margin). Hence, please help getting the greencard immediately and start working in America Immediately.

Let’s face it, being an international student isn’t easy, given our complex culture and language. Assistance must come from numerous sources to aid these young people embarking on life’s journey, including protection from deportation upon graduation.
A new award-winning worldwide book/ebook that aids anyone coming to the US is “What Foreigners Need To Know About America From A To Z: How to Understand Crazy AmericanCulture, People, Government, Business, Language and More.” It is used in
foreign Fulbright student programs and endorsed worldwide by ambassadors,
educators, and editors. It also identifies “foreigners” who became successful in the US and how they contributed to our society, including students.
A chapter on education explains how to be accepted to an American university and cope with a confusing new culture, friendship process and daunting classroom differences. Some stay after graduation. It has chapters that explain how US businesses operate and how to get a job (which differs from most countries), a must for those who want to work for/with an American firm here or overseas.
It also has chapters that identify the most common English grammar and speech problems foreigners have and tips for easily overcoming them, the number one stumbling block they say they have to succeeding here.
Most struggle in their efforts and need guidance from schools’ international departments,
immigration protection, host families, concerned neighbors and fellow students, and informative books like this to extend a cultural helping hand so we all have a win-win situation. Good luck to all wherever you study!
