Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal adamantly stated Tuesday at an event in Iowa that he is not an “anchor baby.”
The remark was in response to a provocation from an audience member who asked, “Did I hear you say you were an anchor baby,” after Jindal spoke about his parents’ immigration from India to the United States, joking that he was a “pre-existing condition” at the time, according to the Des Moines Register.
“No, no, I’m not,” Jindal responded.
He went on to blame talk about him being an “anchor baby” to progressives and labeled the chatter a distraction from the real issues, according to The Des Moines Register.
Jindal has famously followed in the footsteps of Donald Trump — his rival for the GOP presidential nomination– last week in calling for an end to the policy of birthright citizenship, which automatically grants citizenship to children born on U.S. soil regardless of their parentage, including the children of undocumented immigrants.
Admittedly, certain facets of liberal media have run with the anchor baby trope, including Occupy Democrats, which posted a meme on Facebook that read: “We have to end birthright citizenship to stop anchor babies,’ says Republican Bobby Jindal whose noncitizen parents arrived in the U.S. four months before he was born and used his birthright citizenship to become Americans, making him an anchor baby.”
However, legal experts informed the Tampa Bay Times that the only way Jindal might have been able to help his parents become citizens is if he had been 21. He was 5-years-old when his mother became a citizen and 15 when his father took the same step.

So, he wasn’t born to US citizen parents. Sounds like he is not even eligible to be President. Same as Rubio & Cruz not being eligible.
