Slapaamir.com, a website that was intended for people who are agitating ‘intolerance’ remarks by actor Aamir Khan, to slap him virtually, was hacked and turned into kissaamir.com where people can kiss the actor online.
A group of students from Miami Ad School created Slapaamir.com on November 26 and within a day, the website recorded around eight million slaps on Aamir’s face.
The disclaimer on the website read that it’s for “creative and humour purposes only and doesn’t represent any political views of the people involved.”
“Dear intolerant citizen of India, thank you for slapping Aamir Khan. We’ll make sure that your reward reaches you,” it added.
Four days later, the site has now turned itself into a gate for those who support Aamir, but this time not to slap him, but instead to kiss him, a gesture that supports the actor’s claim that of rising intolerance in the country.
Meanwhile, the new message reads “More Love. Less Slaps.” and the disclaimer have been changed to “Kissaamir.com is for love and fun purposes only and represents kindness and kisses only. Please spread the tolerance of our love only.”
Every time user clicks the pointer over Aamir’s face, it changes to different characters he acted in various movies.
The Punjab unit of the Shiv Sena had announced a reward of Rs. 1 lakh per slap for anyone slapping actor Aamir Khan over his recent remarks on “intolerance” in India.
Last week, Khan had said that his wife Kiran Rao expressed her concerns over “intolerance” in the country, and they debated leaving the country.
The remark has seen a raging debate in the country, on social media, by politicians, Bollywood celebrities and alike.
After facing severe criticism, Khan responded that neither he nor his wife Kiran Rao have any intention of leaving the country. The actor also stated that he is proud to be an Indian and stands by what he said.
