Adult-movie star turned Bollywood actress Sunny Leone marked this year’s World AIDS Day with a video campaign promoting the use of condoms and safe sex in India. Leone has been advocating the safe sex campaign since she arrived in India.
Leone released a video on Monday along with her Mastizaade co-star Rir Das and Tusshar Kapoor, asking people to use condoms to prevent transmission of the deadly HIV virus.
The actress who posted the video on Facebook also asked her fans and followers to wear condoms for safe sex. She wrote “Be Safe, Not Sorry #WorldAIDSday Manforce Condoms#SunnyLeone”
The 27 seconds video has the actress, along with her co-stars, appealing to people to use condoms and sensitizing them about the life threatening condition that could befall them by indulging in unprotected sex.
Mastizaade, an adult comedy directed by Milap Zhaveri and produced by Pritish Nandy and Rangita Pritish Nandy, will have Sunny Leone in double hot roles. The film is slated to release on January 29, 2016.
Leone is the brand ambassador of ManForce condoms and has been advocative the use of condoms to that of contraceptive oral pills. The actress was quoted by a leading Indian daily saying “I am promoting safe sex and unwanted pregnancies. If a family isn’t ready to have a baby, it’s a good method of contraception as it doesn’t affect a woman’s health, as compared to birth control pills, which affect a woman’s body, mind and hormones. I don’t see it as a bad thing.”
