Ranveer plays the role of Bajirao 1, who served as the Maratha Peshwa (Prime Minister) to the fourth Chhatrapati (Emperor) Chhatrapati Shahu Raje Bhonsle of the Maratha Empire from 1720 until Baji Rao’s death.
