A 29-year old fashion designer has gone missing from the National Capital Region (NCR)on Monday soon after calling for police help. Shipra Malik, based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, has been missing since she left her home in Sector 37, Noida, on Monday evening, for Chandni Chowk.
Her car was found abandoned near her home in Noida. Her husband Chetan Malik, a local builder, has filed a complaint with the police.
“A woman fashion designer, who lives in Sector 37 Noida, left for Delhi at around 1.18 PM. Her last location was Lajpat Nagar (South Delhi) from where she called police helpline 100. From there she went missing. We have registered a complaint. She runs a boutique in Chandni Chowk,” Dinesh Yadav, Superintendent of Police (City) Noida, said.
Chetan Malik said that Shipra left home on Monday evening telling that she was going to Chandni Chowk and her brother found her car near the house.
Her mobile phone has been switched off since her last call to police helpline. The family hasn’t received any ransom calls yet.
Last month, a 24-year-old woman employee of the online shopping website Snapdeal, was abducted from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh when she was returning home from office. She later returned home unharmed and her abductors were arrested by police.
