Question of sedition comes up.

A WhatsApp group chat went totally wrong for two Mangalore-based students after police detained them for posting ‘Pakistan Ki Jai’ during the India-Pakistan World T20 cricket match, last Saturday.
According to reports, the police released the two students later the same day.
The students posted ‘Pakistan Ki Jai’ on a WhatsApp group of their classmates and some students objected to it and gave a tip-off to the police.
According to the police, the incident happened in a college in Puttur Town near Mangalore from where the students were detained, on Wednesday.
The students were produced before an executive magistrate. Both were released after producing a bond of good conduct.
The police said that the students had no intention of sedition as they posted it just as a comment to a chat.
This is not the first time that students are in trouble after supporting Pakistan. Last year, a few Kashmiri students were expelled from their college after they supported the Pakistan team after they won a match against India.
The incident comes on the heels of the BCCI taking exception to Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi thanking some fans from Kashmir for supporting the team.
The country is also currently debating nationalism, including saying ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ to glorify the country internally.
