Bollywood is known for the frequent brawls between superstars and many actors have their personal favorites and foes in the industry.
Recently, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan got a new foe – “Ashique 2” fame singer Arijit Singh – after he reportedly snubbed the “Sultan” actor during an award ceremony.
When you create a big enemy like Salman Khan, it is obvious that something nasty is up ahead and this became true for Arijit as his version of the song “Jag Ghoomeya” from the yet to be released Salman movie “Sultan” got replaced by the track sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
The singer who wasn’t expecting such a severe outcome for what many in the industry call an “unintentional mistake of a young artist”, apologized to the actor via a Facebook post and pleaded with him to keep his version of the song in the final print of the movie. Soon, the post disappeared but the few minutes it was there was enough for it to go viral, thanks to thousands of Arijit fans.
Now, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has responded to the controversy saying that he wasn’t aware of anybody other than him singing the song. There were reports earlier that it was Arijit who sang the song first and after his remarks about Salman, the song was rerecorded in Rahat’s voice.
Talking to media Rahat said “First of all, I was not aware if anyone had sung it before. I just came, I sung the song and that’s it. What happened after that I don’t know.”
The song has been composed by Salim-Sulaiman and features Vidyut Jammwal and Huma Qureshi.
When reporters asked whether music composers face pressure from actors while selecting singers the music composer duo said they haven’t faced such pressures till now.
“Fortunately we have never faced that pressure, ever. We worked with some amazing filmmakers and directors, who were very open and respectful about our work and they want us to work with whoever we want to,” Salim said.

Arjiit was never the one chosen he was just being a pest so makers did not want him. So he decided to make trouble and the media jump the band wagon to fuel fire against Salman. Don’t you know that Indian media sucks.
