A Singer from the Mexican version of ‘The Voice’ had died after he was shot in Chicago.
Alejandro ‘Jano’ Fuentes was shot on his birthday Tuesday, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and died Saturday. This tragic news comes within a week of Christina Gimmie – who appeared on the US Version of ‘The Voice’- was shot while greeting fans after a concert in Orlando, Florida.
The Chicago Tribune reported that someone approached Fuentes’s car and ordered him to get out of the vehicle at gunpoint.
Fuentes refused to get down and the gunman fired multiple shots, leaving him in critical condition as he was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.
The attacker ran a short distance on foot then got into a car and fled, police said in a statement.
Police were investigating whether the shooting was an attempted carjacking or a robbery and no arrests have been made, WGN television reported.
