RICHMOND, Virginia: Well-known Richmond-based entrepreneur Kamini Pahuja has joined the Advisory Board for American India Foundation’s Virginia Chapter, according to a press release from the organization. Pahuja, a retired executive form Alloy Polymers Inc., has been actively involved with community service, especially within the Indian American community.
“I have been very impressed with the professionalism, organization and programs of the foundation,” said Pahuja, conveying her excitement at joining the Richmond Chapter’s Advisory Group. “AIF’s model of delivery is impressive as it goes for beyond the initial funding phase and stays with the program for its long term sustainability and success.”
Besides running her own foundation 5P, Pahuja has served on the boards of various organizations, including the American Red Cross, Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Women Business Owners, Virginia Treatment Center for Children, Hindu Center, and Collegiate Schools Richmond, VA.
She also served on the National Board for Iona College in New Rochelle, NY, Cooley Anemia Foundation and Arya Pritinidhi Sabha of America. Additionally, she is a part of R-YAT (Yoga Alliance Teachers), and has taught Transformational Leadership and Stress Management through Mindfulness and Meditation at academic, as well as in corporate settings.
