Facebook acquired a video recipe of Raj for $2,000.
A six-year-old boy from Kerala became the youngest Indian to appear on TV anchor Ellen DeGeneres’s talk show on NBC Channel 4.
Nihal Raj from Kochi, Kerala, surprised DeGeneres by making Puttu, a traditional Kerala breakfast snack made by steaming rice powder and grated coconut, on the show.
Nihal Raj or Kicha, who started cooking two years back, has a YouTube channel KichaTube HD which has about 4,000 subscribers. His appearance in Ellen DeGeneres show that was aired on Friday has brought him more fans.
DeGeneres was surprised by the cooking skills of the boy, especially after tasting puttu, which was very delicious according to her.
The boy showed his sense of humor when asked by DeGeneres if he uses sharp objects for his cooking–considering his age.
“I’m not an expert right now. But I will be nine years down the line,” he replied.
“This kid is a cutie. He showed me how to cook in his puttu kutti [sic],” DeGeneres posted on Facebook while sharing the video of the episode.
Recently Facebook had acquired the rights to Raj’s Mickey Mouse Mango ice-cream video, paying him $2,000.
