Question came with multiple choice answers, too.
“Who is Virat Kohli’s girlfriend?”
That’s one of the students the ninth standard students of Chacha Nehru Hindi High School in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, got in their Personal Training (PT) exam paper.
The out-of-syllabus question on Indian cricketer has now sparked a controversy, reported The Times of India. To make life easier for the students, the dumb shool authorities had also given three options: Priyanka, Anushka, Deepika.
The question paper went viral on social media after it was posted online by a local channel. The curiosity of the teachers to measure the general knowledge of the students by asking about the personal life of a celebrity has led to widespread criticism.
Ironically, if several news reports are to be believed, Kohli and his on-and-off girlfriend Anushka Sharma were estranged from each other, but continue to stay in touch.
Meanwhile, the school principal A.R Pandey said he hadn’t seen the question paper before it was used in the exam. He blamed the PT teacher for preparing such a foolish question.
“The teacher of PT had prepared question paper and he has made the mistake,” Pandey told The Times of India.
However, the paper had several questions like the name of India’s biggest indoor stadium, the location of the Chepauk Stadium, and the name of Sachin Tendulkar’s childhood friend which are not expected in a school examination.
