Jutting faces charges of killing 2 sex slaves.
A court heard on Monday that British banker Rurik Jutting, who is facing charges of killing two sex workers in Hong Kong, tortured one of them for three days and filmed the same on his mobile phone.
The Sun reported that Rurik Jutting, 31, made the woman lick his toilet in his Hong Kong apartment before killing and stuffing her body into a suitcase. His trial started at Hong Kong‘s High Court on Monday.
Though he was pleaded not guilty to murder, he was found guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility and of preventing lawful burial of a body.
“The evidence, in this case, is extremely disturbing and shocking,” said High Court judge Stuart-Moore while addressing the jury panel.
“The defendant filmed himself on his iPhone as he tortured his victims. He recorded on his iPhone much of what he did to these people that he had killed,” he added.
The incident happened in 2014, when Jutting, a trader for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, lured the victims Sumarti Ningsih, 25, and Seneng Mujiasih, 30, to his house for sex in exchange for money and killed them.
Ningsih was in Hong Kong on a visiting visa when Jutting met her. He had sex with him at a hotel previously. He invited her to his home on October 26 for sex after offering money.
“After torturing her for three days, he took her into the bathroom, had her kneel in front of the toilet bowl and, with her hands tied behind her back with his belt, made her lick the toilet bowl. Then he cut her throat with a serrated-edged knife,” said the court.
“She did not immediately die so he dragged her into the shower and continued to saw through her neck until she was dead,” the reading added.
On October 31, Jutting met Mujiasih, who was in Hong Kong on a domestic helper visa, at a bar and brought her home and offered money for sex. He had hidden two knives under sofa cushions to kill her.
The neighbors informed the police after they spotted blood dripping from his balcony leading to his arrest. The police have recovered sex toys, cocaine, and knives from the house.
“This is a particularly horrific crime and the jury will have to have strong stomachs. Some of the evidence is truly appalling and will shock those involved,” a source on the case told The Sun.
”It certainly left some of the officers involved in the case very traumatized and these are people who have dealt with Triad gangs and underworld murders. What he did to those two poor girls was horrific,” added the source.
The court has decided to play the video showing Jutting next to the corpses as part of the trial.
