Indo-Canadian YouTube sensation and comedian Lilly Singh will kick off her global book tour in New York on Monday. Singh’s first book, How to be a Bawse: A Guide to Conquering Life, is set to go on sale on March 28.

Published by Ballantine, the book is “an accumulation of lessons” she has learned and wants to share with the readers, according to the author.

“I am so thrilled to write my first book and share, all in one place, what I’ve learned about achieving success and happiness,” the 28-year-old vlogger and actor writes on her website. “This journey has taught me to always pick yourself up, not allow anything to stand in your way and that the only secret to achieving your dreams is hard work.”

Singh, who was born to Indian immigrant parents in Scarborough, Toronto, is the most famous YouTube star of Indian origin. Her YouTube channel, known as “iiSuperwomanii,” has more than 11.2 million subscribers and her videos have more than 1.8 billion views.

“HOLY CRAP, I wrote a book!” Singh writes in the introduction to Bawse. For the uninitiated, a “Bawse is like a boss, but so epic that I had to change the spelling.”

She further deconstructs the concept of Bawse: “Unlike a boss, who is defined as such only within the workplace, a Bawse is someone who excels in both personal and professional settings. A Bawse exudes confidence, turns heads, gets hurt efficiently, communicates effectively, and hustles relentlessly.”

The entertainer hopes that the “book will unleash your inner Bawse and give you the tools necessary to not only survive life but conquer it.”

On her website, Singh warns readers not look for any “hopeful thoughts, lucky charms, and cute quotes” in her book. “That’s because success, happiness and everything else you want in life needs to be fought for—not wished for,” she writes. “In Lilly’s world, there are no escalators. Only stairs.”

Bawse has an auxiliary product as well: a signature lipstick named Bawse.

The book tour, which starts at Barnes & Noble Tribeca in New York on Monday, will take Singh to five continents and 31 cities in less than nine weeks.

The US cities that Singh will be visiting include, besides New York and her current hometown of Los Angeles (April 10 and May 1) are Minneapolis, MN (March 30), Atlanta, GA (March 31), Orlando, FL (April 1), Austin, TX (April 3), Chicago, IL (April 4) and Seattle, WA (April 9).

The Superwoman will be in India from April 19 to 21. The Indian cities she will promote Bawse are Mumbai (April 19), Hyderabad (April 20) and Delhi (April 21).

According to an Indian newspaper, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will host a private event at his house in Mumbai for the newly minted author.

Singh, who now lives in Los Angeles, has acted in a number of movies as well. They include Ice Age: Collision Course and Bad Moms and A Trip to Unicorn Island, which was produced by her.
