Kaiser Permanente North California on Monday announced that Indian American C J Bhalla has been promoted as the company’s new senior vice president and chief financial officer.
According to the press release of the healthcare firm, Bhalla who was senior executive will now oversee the financial strategy and revenue cycle operations of Kaiser Permanente Northern California.
Oakland, California, -based Kaiser Permanente is one of the leading healthcare providers. It has a yearly turnover of $64.6 billion and the California region alone serves 4.1 million members. It works to provide high-quality, affordable health care services and to improve the health of its members.
Bhalla has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College (PEC) and she received an MBA from Virginia Polytechnic University. Bhalla joined Kaiser Permanente in 2006 with successive promotions as chief financial officer of the national information technology unit and vice president, national financial performance, and planning.

Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, she was a senior vice president at Charles Schwab & Co, a Fortune 500 company, and held numerous senior management positions at Household International Inc. (now HSBC), a Global 500 company.
