Friend tweeted about the Indian American woman’s ordeal
An Indian American woman who reportedly voted for Donald Trump in the November election — because of the presence of an excess number of “freeloaders” in the country — has been held by the airport customs department.
According to Kara Calavera, a friend of the Indian American woman whose name has not been revealed, her “best friend” texted her about the ordeal she had to face at the airport.
Calavera tweeted, “One of my best girlfriends is Indian-American. She voted for Trump. She just texted me complaining about being held at customs.”

Calavera also wrote in her tweet that she had warned her friend that the customs officials don’t know the distinction between an Arab and an Indian.
“That seems marginally better than, y’know, “I told you that customs people don’t know Indians from Arabs,” she tweeted.

According to Calavera, the Indian American woman who was held in the airport while re-entering immigrated to the United States along with the family and completed her MBA in the US. She reportedly was vocal about having voted for Trump.
She came into the country legally and worked hard and got an MBA, and she's sick of freeloaders.
Her words, not mine.

Even though Calavera has sympathy to her friend for the ordeal she faced at the airport, she thinks that her friend got into trouble because of her own decision to vote for Trump.
I'm pretty sure that makes me a shitty friend, but that's where I'm at right now. Feel free to judge me.
