Dobaara is the official Hindi adaptation of Mike Flanagan’s Oculus.
Filmmaker Mike Flanagan, director of Oculus, gave thumbs up to the upcoming Bollywood film Dobaara: See Your Evil after watching a special screening along with Oculus producer Trevor Macy in Los Angeles.
Dobaara is the official Hindi adaptation of Flanagan’s acclaimed 2013 Hollywood supernatural, psychological horror film. The American director recommends that everyone who has seen Oculus go see Dobaara, as it provides a fresh take on the film with added elements.
Flanagan was very pleased with the production, sound, and casting of the film. He was happy; and hoped to see and be a part of such collaborations between Hollywood and Hindi Films Industry in the future.
“This would be the first time in [the] history [of the Indian film industry] that a Hollywood remake in Hindi was officially screened for the original creators and they are named as Executive Producers of the official remake,” according to a news statement.
Dobaara’s director Prawaal Raman, debutant actress Madalina Bellairu Ion and North America Distribution Head of B4U Movies – Jatin Grover were also present at the screening.
The film stars Huma Qureshi, Saqib Saleem, Adil Hussain, Lisa Ray, Abhishek Singh, Rhea Chakraborty and is scheduled to be released on June 2, 2017.
