American rapper Diddy topped the list with 130 million earnings
The Forbes on Monday released their 2017 list of World’s highest-paid celebrities and Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar made to the top 100.
American rapper Diddy aka Sean Combs topped the list with a career-best $130 million earnings followed by Beyoncé and J K Rowling with $105 million and $95 million, respectively. Musician Drake ($94 million) is at the fourth spot and Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo with $93 million rounds out the top five.
According to Forbes, the top 100 highest-paid celebrities pulled in $5.15 billion – more than the combined GDP of Belize, Liberia, and Gambia.
The top-ranked Indian in the list is Shah Rukh Khan who shares the 65th spot with Jennifer Lopez and The Chainsmokers, all earned $38 million last year.
Salman Khan shares the 71st rank with Brazilian footballer Neymar, American journalist/author Bill O’Reilly, and musicians Dolly Parton and Ed Sheeran as each has $37 million earnings. The 51-year-old actor was ranked 86 in the 2016 list.
The third Indian in the list is Akshay Kumar who earned $35.5 million last year and place at 80thspot.
The Forbes’ celebrity list ranks the top-earning front-of-camera entertainers on the planet by pretext income from June 1, 2016 through June 1, 2017. The cover star of this year’s Celebrity 100 issue is Canadian singer The Weeknd, who ranks number six on the list with earnings of $92 million.
