An Indian tech professional from Telangana was found dead at his home in Arlington, TX, last week, according to reports in the Indian media.
Venkannagari Krishna Chaitanya, 30, who moved to the United States from the Siddipet district of the state, was found unconscious by his landlord last Saturday, reported NDTV.
According to the report, the landlord approached the police when Chaitanya didn’t come out of his room on Friday. His body was found unconscious on the bed when the police broke into the room. The police took him to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead.
The authorities in the US have informed Chaitanya’s family members in Telangana about his death. But, the family hasn’t received any clue about the reason for his death. His body was shifted for an autopsy.
Chaitanya, who moved to the US three years ago, was working with Cognizant Technologies on Southeast Airlines Project. He was staying as a paying guest in Arlington, a suburb of Dallas.
Chaitanya was the son of V. Srinivas Chary, who is a senior bank officer, and Mrs. Rani.
The family has sought the help of lawmaker T Harish Rao, who is a state minister, to bring Chaitanya’s body back to India. Media reports said that the minister has contacted Consul General in Houston and approached the Ministry of External Affairs to intervene.
The New Indian Express reported that the techie’s marriage was fixed with a family member. His body is expected to reach Indian on Thursday.
