Haley’s “Stand for America” will promote policies to “strengthen America’s economy, culture, and national security.”

Nikki Haley, former South Carolina governor and former US ambassador to the United Nations, has launched an advocacy organization to promote public policies that she believes would “strengthen America’s economy, culture, and national security.”

The launch of “Stand for America” was announced on February 25

In a blog post on the group’s website, Haley explained why she founded the organization. “America is the greatest nation in the history of the world,” she writes. “That greatness is why generations of people from all over the world have come here legally, including my parents. They reminded my brothers, my sister and me every day just how blessed we were to be born and raised in this country.”

She said that growing up in rural South Carolina, she never dreamed that she would become the state’s governor. “With hard work, determination, and the incredible support of the people of South Carolina, I was blessed to be able to do that,” she writes. “And then I was doubly blessed to serve the nation I love so dearly, as President Trump’s U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.”

Haley states that he “story is proof positive that the American dream is alive and well.” She adds: “America’s greatness comes from our freedom and our values and they must be protected for future generations.”

Haley also talks about the challenges of Americans in the current times. “At home, our prosperity is challenged by socialist schemes of higher taxes, job-destroying regulations, government-run health care, and unsecure borders,” she writes. “Our government is often held hostage by career politicians who pay more attention to their next election than the next generation. And we have a mass media culture that constantly emphasizes conflict and differences among our fellow citizens rather than what unites us.”

Stand for America aims to engage Americans in support of policies it advocates because, according to the group, an informed and active citizenry is the best way to promote our freedoms and values.

Sad that such people could be leaders of America! Does Ms. Haley think that all Americans are 5th columnists and she needs to call people to “Stand for America”?
To invite citizens for strengthening America’s economy and culture is okay but who is threatening American national security? I hope it is not Nauru, Tuvalu or San Marino! Or, Trump’s good friend Kin Jong-Un is frightening Ms. Haley?
