The concert, titled “Raga Maya Raga Sagara,” will also feature renowned violinist Dr. L. Subramaniam.
Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, a renowned name in the field of music, healing and meditation, will perform at the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, on July 6.
The Mysore, India, -based ascetic, a globally influential figure, is the founder of the Datta Yoga Center.
His performance, titled “Raga Maya Raga Sagara,” will be an evening of healing, introspection and meditation. Jointly hosted by the Datta Yoga Center, DC, and Yoga Sangeeta, a New Jersey nonprofit founded by Swamiji, the event is expected to attract more than 2,000 people from the United States and around the world.
Dr. L. Subramaniam, an internationally acclaimed violinist, will be playing at the concert alongside Swamiji.
Prior to the evening event, a public welcome function for Swamiji was held at the Gaithersburg High School Performing Arts Center on July 5.

This special performance is specifically designed to bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds and different beliefs thereby providing them with the benefits of music and healing.”
Swamiji has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, such as the Lincoln Center in New York, the Esplanade concert hall in Singapore, and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
In January 2016, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Avadhoota Datta Peetham in Mysore and lauded Swamiji for his efforts in promoting music for meditation and healing, community service, and social welfare projects.
