Get set for the first of its kind Jurassic Encounter in Northern Virginia from May 20 to May 30
If you live in or around Virginia, are into dinosaurs or have a little one at home who can rattle the names of dinosaur species faster than the names of his family members, then an upcoming exhibition may be the right place for you to spend a summer day!
The Walk-Thru Dinosaur Exhibit is the first of its kind exhibition that is all set to come to Northern Virginia. Titled the Jurassic Encounter, the exhibit will transform the events center into a walk-through experience featuring more than 50 static and moving, life-like dinosaurs that both entertain and educate.

But just before you thought the exhibit is all educational and an event fit for an aspiring palaeontologist then there is more. The exhibit will also feature a dino village, shopping facilities, lot of food stalls, games, photo-ops, bouncy houses for little ones and a general feel of a carnival except with a few roaring guests.
Jurassic Encounter is a family event, where an interactive installation of 50 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs from the Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous periods come to life.
Each dinosaur has robotic moving body parts and jaws opening wide, with realistic roaring sound effects. Making for a truly awesome walk-through experience.
Children and adults can test their knowledge when they encounter less familiar dinosaurs too. Each dinosaur installation will have an educational information panel offering visitors interesting facts and figures making it a great learning experience too!
The exhibit will open on Friday, May 20 from 2 pm to 7 pm and all other days from 10 am to 7 pm.
Tickets start at $19.00 per person (anyone two years and older will need a ticket). Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
