BENGALURU: Indian start-up AppVirality that focuses on developing growth hacking toolkit for mobile applications, has raised an unspecified amount of seed money from major investors, with speculation that it has managed at least $450,000 in funding.
The investors who supported AppVirality includes Google India Managing Director Rajan Anandan, Nasscom Product Council Chairman Ravi Gururaj, aQuantive co-founder Mike Galgon, Baron Capital Research Analyst Ashim Mehra, InMobi co-founder Mohit Saxena, India Internet Group and TNN Capital
The growth hacking toolkit developed by the Hyderabad based start-up help app developers in identifying and implementing the right growth techniques to boost app installs and user engagement.
Even as there is no official word from AppVirality about the fund they raised, reports said it is believed that the company successfully generated $450,000 from investors.
A press release from the company said, “We will be using funds for further product development and hiring talent.†Currently, the firm has just a six member team in their Hyderabad office.
It also said, “Growth hacking is on high-time at the moment, and our vision is to build a robust product that gives power to the growth or marketing teams who can login to our dashboard, select growth techniques and implement on the fly, no coding required.â€
AppVirality was started by brothers Ram Papineni and Laxman Papineni with an aim to make a tool that helps app developers to quickly, easily reach their target audience without having to spend time in coding.
The company was recently enrolled in the batch of start-ups that received acceleration from Microsoft Ventures Accelerator program at Bangalore.

We are confident that this investment will drive the AppVirality Team to innovate further and bring in more such ideas in the market.â€
Until now, AppVirality was offering two growth techniques, one a fully automated, customizable and easy to run in-app referral program called Personalized Viral Referrals and the second a Customer Retention Program developed to help users to capitalize more on their prompting them to share their app experience with friends both offline and through online social channels.
AppVirality has announced that they will release three more techniques in their product listing by the end of the first quarter of 2015.
