BENGALURU: After years of neglect, Google Contacts has received a major upgrade, introducing a new design and additional features like duplicate content merge and multi-platform delivery.
Google’s contact management tool, Google Contacts has been in existence since the search engine giants started the free email service.
As the company launched more products over the years, Google Contact became one of the pivotal tools that connected people. But, unfortunately, until a few days back, Google Contacts evaded from getting any major update.
The new contact card in Google Contacts is designed in such a way that users can see their custom information about a person along with other details shared by the person himself through his/her Google profile.
One of the nagging issues faced by many Android and Google users is the frequently appearing duplicate contact that creates confusion. It seems like Google has heard the call as the new Contacts makes it easier for users to review and merge duplicate contacts and thus remove ambiguity.
As one of the early Google services, Google Contacts remains to be the base for many prominent Google services such as HangOut, Gmail and Google +. The new update puts all contacts together in one place.
Users who would like to experience Goggle Contacts preview can see their contact by visiting: https://contacts.google.com/preview/all.
Even though the updated version of Google Contacts is already live, there are a few more bugs to be fixed before the launch of the final version.
