The actress is in talks with TED America to host a TV Show.

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan, who is known for her performance oriented roles, will soon be hosting TED Talks in an Indian television.
The TED America, in a bid to cater to the Indian market, is said to have contacted Balan to host the Indian version of the TED talks on television. The channel to air the show is yet to be finalized.
A report by Mumbai-based tabloid Midday quoted a source saying that Vidya “liked the concept” and the producers are in the process of figuring out a list of celebrated figures from different fields to be featured on the show.
“They are still figuring out a list of celebrated figures from different fields who would be interested in being featured on the show,” the source was quoted.
The “Dirty Picture” actress began her career with the popular 1995 TV show, ‘Hum Paanch’ and she is returning to TV show after a gap of twenty years.
TED, which goes with a slogan ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’, is a global set of conferences run by the private non-profit organization named Sapling Foundation. TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages.
